Mary & May Niacinamide + Chaenomeles Serum: the certified vegan dark spot-fighting radiance serum

Dark spots, old acne marks, dull skin, and an oily T-zone? The Mary & May Niacinamide + Chaenomeles Serum tackles them all with a simple, gentle, and affordable formula. A must-have for getting started with niacinamide.

What is the Mary & May Niacinamide Serum for?

It is a radiance serum that helps even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots. It is based on a duo of 2% niacinamide and a very high concentration of Chaenomeles sinensis (Chinese quince) extract, which makes up the bulk of the formula.

Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is one of the most versatile active ingredients in skincare: it helps limit the transfer of pigment to the skin's surface, regulates sebum, and strengthens the skin barrier. Chinese quince, rich in vitamin C and flavonoids, provides antioxidant benefits and radiance. At 2%, niacinamide is very well tolerated, even by sensitive skin.

Key active ingredients

  • Niacinamide (2%): evens out skin tone, regulates sebum, and strengthens the skin barrier.
  • Chaenomeles sinensis extract: a vitamin C-rich antioxidant for radiance.
  • Simple, fragrance-free formula: suitable for sensitive skin.

Who is it for?

It is suitable for all skin types and especially targets:

  • dark spots and post-acne marks;
  • dull or uneven skin tone;
  • combination to oily skin with visible pores;
  • those who want to introduce niacinamide gradually.

When should it be used?

Morning and/or evening, after toner and before cream. When used in the morning, it must be followed by an SPF: without sun protection, no dark spot treatment can truly work.

How should it be used?

  1. After toning, place 2 to 3 drops in your hand.
  2. Apply to the face and neck, focusing on marked areas.
  3. Let it absorb.
  4. Apply your cream, then your SPF in the morning.

Clow's tip: consistency matters more than quantity. Two applications a day for several weeks yield much better results than a thick layer every now and then.

What should it be paired with?

It is part of our Anti-Blemish Routine Pack. For a complete dark spot routine, add the Numbuzin No.5 pads and the Medicube Deep Vita C Capsule Cream, without forgetting an SPF like the SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sun Serum.

Is the Mary & May Niacinamide Serum vegan?

Yes. This serum is certified vegan and cruelty-free. Mary & May also uses packaging printed with soy ink.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be used with vitamin C?

Yes. The old idea that niacinamide and vitamin C cancel each other out is outdated with modern formulas.

How long does it take for dark spots to fade?

Radiance improves within a few days. For dark spots, allow at least 6 to 8 weeks of regular use with daily SPF.

Is it suitable for blemish-prone skin?

Yes, niacinamide helps regulate sebum and reduce the marks left by pimples.
